MEMBERSHIP POLICIES: Kappa Kappa Gamma is a single-gender organization comprised of women and individuals who identify as women whose governing documents do not discriminate in membership selection except by requiring good scholarship and ethical character. LEGACY AND LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION: There is no preferential treatment of legacies during recruitment. However, Kappa Kappa Gamma continues to welcome references that serve as introductions between potential new members and chapters.

ADA ACCESSIBILITY: Unfortunately, due to the physical characteristics of our chapter home we are not able to become ADA compliant. The Kappa Kappa Gamma house has a side gate that leads into the courtyard and bottom floor of the home. Therefore, the courtyard, kitchen, and chapter room are ADA accessible. However, all bedrooms are on the second and third floor, making it virtually impossible for the home to be ADA accessible for live-ins.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

UC Berkeley Specific

The Natalia James Memorial Scholarship: - The Natalia "Tali" James Scholarship is in honor of Tali James who was a double legacy sophomore member of Pi Deuteron when she tragically lost her life in a fire at Phi Kappa Sigma. She will always be remembered for her sparkle, enthusiasm and enviable gift for positive living. The amount of the scholarship is determined by the Fraternity based upon the return on the endowment.
- Recipient: The recipient shall be a member of Pi Deuteron chapter with a cumulative 2.75 GPA or higher, who has financial need and exhibits Tali's enthusiasm for life, showing a consideration for others and those less fortunate. Two members may be selected and a member may receive the scholarship more than once. The scholarship is awarded for the following semester so the recipient must be freshman, sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.
- Selection. The scholarship is awarded annually to a member of Pi Deuteron chapter. Members interested in the scholarship shall submit an application by February 15th. The Chapter Council and Academic Excellence Advisor shall select the recipient.
- Presentation. The scholarship recipient shall be announced at the first chapter meeting following February 15th and the award shall be presented at the Parents Weekend held in the spring semester and shall have her name engraved upon a plaque honoring the recipients.

Kappa Kappa Gamma offers merit-based and need-based scholarships.
- Merit-Based: $3000 per year or $1500 per term
  - Must be initiated by Feb. 3 and dues-paying member in good standing
  - Full-time student status, which is considered a minimum of 12 credit hours per term.
  - A cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  - A chapter reference from the President, Vice President-Standards, Chapter Council Adviser or Standards Adviser.
  - An academic reference from a professor or teaching assistant.
  - An unofficial transcript with fall grades.
- Need-Based: $5000 per year or $2500 per term
  - Initiated by Feb. 3 and dues-paying member in good standing
  - Full-time student status, which is considered a minimum of 12 credit hours per term
  - A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  - A chapter reference from the President, Vice President-Standards, Chapter Council Adviser, or Standards Adviser
  - An unofficial transcript with fall grades
  - A Cost of Attendance form specific to you from the university financial aid office

Marisol Scholarship:

If you meet the requirements for an undergraduate need-based scholarship, you may also meet the requirements for the undergraduate need-based Marisol Scholarship. The award covers 75% of educational costs, including tuition and fees, housing costs, and books
Be at least a second-year, full-time college student with demonstrated financial need. Full-time student status is considered a minimum of 12 credit hours per term
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
A chapter reference from President, Vice President-Standards, Chapter Council Adviser or Standards Adviser
An academic or professional reference that speaks to your persistent desire for an education

Graduate Scholarships:

$3000 per year or $1500 per term (award for part-time students is $1500 per year or $750 per term. Full-time student status is considered nine credit hours per term and part-time student status is considered between three and 8.9 credit hours per term)
