MEMBERSHIP POLICIES: Kappa Alpha Theta welcomes as members, in accordance with the laws of the Fraternity, college womxn, without regard to race, religion, national origin, age, disability, or other characteristics protected by applicable law. As some of the earliest womxn to attend college, Kappa Alpha Theta’s foumanders fought for inclusion in a frequently hostile educational and social environment. Our mission is to offer womxn lifelong opportunities for intellectual, and personal growth. Those who identify as womxn (i.e., transgender womxn, non-binary, etc.) are eligible for membership in Kappa Alpha Theta.

LEGACY AND LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION: Kappa Alpha Theta has no preferential treatment given to legacies during the recruitment process. However, current members are encouraged to submit references for outstanding young women in their communities that they believe would benefit Kappa Alpha Theta. These references are not required and do not guarantee a bid.

ADA ACCESSIBILITY: We work very closely with our facility board and accomodations can be made so long as they are communicated. We have accommodations, such as an accessible room (for live-in), entrance, and more.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES: Each year Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation supports hundreds of womxn, providing more than $700,000 in scholarships to make academic dreams a reality. Theta Foundation’s minimum scholarship award is $1,000, and each scholarship is made possible by generous donors. Scholarship applications are typically due in March each year and scholarships are awarded each June for use in the upcoming academic year. Eligibility: Initiated members, college and alumnae, of Kappa Alpha Theta in good standing with the Fraternity. New members may apply but should be initiated by the application deadline.
